Thermophile shrub communities of Western Europe and western and northern Central Europe east to Poland, northern Moldavia, Slovakia and Austria, occupying the domain of the Carpinion and northern irradiations of Quercion pubescenti-petraeae communities.

Nyugat-Európa, valamint Közép-Európa Ausztriáig, Szlovákiáig, Lengyelországig és Észak-Moldováig terjedő nyugati és északi területein élő, Carpinion, valamint északabbi Quercion pubescenti-petraeae termőhelyeken kialakuló melegkedvelő cserjetársulások.
