Seslerio hungaricae-Fagetum

Low forests of Fagus sylvatica, not exceding 12-15 metres in height, on shallow soils, usually of steep slopes, of the mid- and peri-Pannonic Bükk and Pilis hills, with an herb layer characterized bythe endemic Sesleria heuflerana ssp. hungarica, Calamagrostis varia, Phyteuma spicatum, and the presence of xerophilous oak forest species, of orchids and rare species, including Cypripedium calceolus and Allium victorialis.

A középső és szélső pannóniai Pilis és Bükk hegységben, általában meredek lejtőkön, sekély talajon kialakult alacsony, 12-15 méternél nem magasabb Fagus sylvatica erdők, ahol a gyepszintben jellemző a bennszülött Sesleria hungarica, a Calamagrostis varia, a Phyteuma spicatum, valamint néhány a száraz tölgyesekre jellemző faj, többek között orchideák és ritka fajok, mint a Cypripedium calcaeolus és Allium victorialis.
