Thermophilous Illyrian Fagus sylvatica forests of inland areas of the Dinarids and of associated ranges and hills, of the southeastern pre-Alps and the mid-Pannonic hills, characterized by the presence of Ostryo-Carpinion orientalis or Fraxino orni-Ostryion species.
A Dinári-hegység és előhegyeinek és dombvidékeinek tengertől távoli területei, a délkeleti Elő-Alpok és a középső pannóniai dombok melegkedvelő, Ostryo-Carpinion orientalis vagy Fraxino orni-Ostryion fajok jelenlétével jellemezhető Fagus sylvatica erdői.
