Sub-continental oak-hornbeam forests

Carpinion betuli: Galio sylvatici-Carpinenion betuli, Tilio cordatae-Carpinenion betuli

Forests of Quercus petraea and/or Quercus robur with Carpinus betulus of areas of sub-continental or continental climate of northern and central Central Europe and of Eastern Europe, south to the Carpathian arc and the northern rim of the Podolian plateaux, richer in lime, Tilia cordata, than the sub-Atlantic forests of 41.23, 41.24 and 41.25, of more northern character, in their Eastern European area of approach than the Balkanic forests of 41.2C.

Közép-Európa északi és középső területei és Kelet-Európa délen a Kárpátok ívéig, északon a podóliai síkságig terjedő, szubkontinentális vagy kontinentális klímájú részének Quercus petraea és/vagy a Quercus robur által uralt erdők Carpinus betulus jelenlétével, állományaikban Tilia cordata hárs gyakoribb, mint a 41.23, 41.24 és 41.25 alatti szubatlantikus erdőkben, és északiasabb jellegűek kelet-európai elterjedési területük miatt, mint a 41.2C alatti balkáni erdők.
