Meso-hygrophile, acidophile Quercus petraea or Quercus robur forests characteristic of the central and eastern range of the Genisto tinctoriae-Quercetum petraeae s.l. greenweed-sessile oak acidophilous forests, in particular within and around the Bohemian Quadrangle and on peri-Pannonic or pre-Carpathian plateaux and low hills of the eastern Carpathian system, with an herb layer often dominated by monospecific swards of social gramineous species, in particular, Molinia arundinacea or Carex brizoides.

A cseh hegyvidékek négyszögében és annak környékén, a pannóniai és prekárpáti alacsony dombokon és fennsíkokon és a Keleti-Kárpátok alacsony dombvidékein, a Genisto tinctoriae-Quercetum petraeae s.l. mészkerülő rekettyés kocsánytalan tölgyesek elterjedésének középső és keleti régiójában jellemző közepesen vízigényes, mészkerülő Quercus petraea vagy Quercus robur erdők, melyek gyepszintjében gyakran társulásalkotó füvek, elsősorban Molinia arundinacea vagy Carex brizoides monodomináns állománya található.
